We strive to provide experiences that support the rapid learning and development of a child’s first year. By providing warm and nurturing interactions with staff and a dependable, trusting environment, you can feel at peace knowing your child is in safe hands.
Our in-center curriculum will ensure your child hits their developmental stages in areas that include:
In our toddler classrooms, we understand that playing is learning. That’s why our classrooms are set up and designed to provide your child with a hands-on learning experience. Throughout the classrooms, you will find different learning centers such as:
Children will participate in circle time every day. During this time, children engage in songs, counting, color and shape recognition, and animal sounds. The older toddlers will also begin letter and number recognition.
We understand how important education is to all ages. As your children transition from toddlers to preschoolers, we make sure to keep continue their hands-on learning experiences. This is why our In-Center Preschool Curriculum is designed to continue building the foundation for lifelong learning. In preschool, we continue to work on developing social and emotional skills as well as encouraging the children to explore through independent thinking, communication, and problem-solving.
While following teacher planned weekly themed activities, children will get the opportunity to work on skills such as math, science, sensory, literacy, and art. Our students will participate in a daily circle time where they will engage in songs, reading, and learn things such as days of the week, the calendar months, letter and number recognition, and name recognition. Students will also begin tracing and writing their names!
To help with kindergarten readiness, our Pre-K classroom follows the Freeport District curriculum as well as our in-center one.
Our staff works closely with the children and parents to promote a love of learning and excitement for future education.
As part of the Freeport School District, students who are enrolled in our before and aftercare program will be bussed to and from the center to Buffalo Elementary and South Buffalo Elementary. Breakfast and an afternoon snack are included in tuition.
During the summer we transition into a summer camp. At Summer Camp, children will participate in a variety of activities such as water day, crafts, and projects that follow along with the theme of the week. We also have a variety of outsourced activities that come to our center for the children such as ponies, a train, and the Kona Ice truck.
Children who are of school age (having completed a year of kindergarten or more) will also participate in field trips. In previous years, we've had field trips to the Zoo, Zone 28, Deer Lakes Waterpark, and miniature golf.
